Therapy for Individuals Navigating Anxiety, Identity, Trauma, & Life Transitions

Portrait of a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern providing thoughtful, relational therapy support.

Hi there, I’m Rachael!

At Refocus Therapy, I work with teens, adults, athletes, and LGBTQ+ individuals across Colorado who feel anxious, overwhelmed, and under pressure to perform—while navigating identity, burnout, and past experiences.

You Don’t Have to Keep Pushing Through

You’re used to showing up, pushing through, and handling things on your own.
On the outside, things may look like they’re working—but internally, it can feel overwhelming, exhausting, or unclear.

You might be dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or a constant sense of pressure.
Therapy is a space to slow down, understand what’s going on beneath the surface, and learn how to refocus in a way that actually feels sustainable.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with:

  • High achievers and perfectionists

  • Athletes (youth, high school, and collegiate)

  • Teens and young adults navigating pressure and transitions

  • LGBTQ+ individuals exploring identity and belonging

  • Individuals experiencing anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt

What I Help With

Common areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety therapy for teens and young adults

  • Therapy for high achievers and perfectionism

  • Sports and performance-related stress

  • Identity exploration and life transitions

  • LGBTQ+ affirming therapy

  • Burnout, overthinking, and emotional regulation

  • Family dynamics and communication

My Approach

I use a relational, strength-based approach to therapy, which means we look at both your internal experience and the relationships and environments that shape it.

While many sessions are one-on-one, I also integrate parent or family support when helpful—especially when working with teens and young adults.

Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
